Medicare Advantage (Part C)
A private alternative to Original Medicare that bundles Parts A and B (and usually Part D) into a single plan, often with extras like dental, vision, hearing, or fitness. You still pay the Part B premium ($206.50 in 2026 plus IRMAA). Most plans add a small monthly premium of $0 to $80. Advantage uses HMO or PPO networks with referrals, copays per service, and an annual out-of-pocket maximum (typically $4,000-$8,500 in-network). Best for retirees in stable health who stay local; less ideal for snowbirds or those with chronic conditions requiring out-of-network specialists.
